Stevens Institute of Technology’s expertise is in the interdisciplinary study of sciences, engineering, technology, and business. Its maritime research center, for example, takes advantage of the school’s location just outside New York City to study the challenges facing coastal cities. Its Center for Innovation in Engineering and Science Education, Stevens partners with New Jersey elementary and high schools to improve science and math education with new technology tools. With 40 master’s and 22 doctoral degree programs, Stevens actually awards more graduate degrees than bachelor’s degrees. (It offers 32 bachelor’s degrees.) But the institute still attracts a high-achieving cadre of undergraduate students and offers a low student-to-faculty ratio. The median salary for a graduate’s first few years in the workforce is $65,200, almost 28% higher than the average early career earnings for graduates of similar schools.

See What Students Have to Say
Now that the Office of Career Development and Co-op office have combined, the job/internship process is very smooth and automated. They have a lot of options for jobs and internships. They are very helpful and thoroughly review your resume and help you prepared for an interview.
Stevens is an amazing school with so many opportunities whether in the classroom, in the lab, or after classes. There are a variety of clubs and organizations to join and it is very easy to get involved. If you have any questions, everyone on our campus is very friendly and upperclassmen are so willing to give advice and share their opinion on a class or even helpful tips to pass the class. If you ever feel like venturing off campus, New York City is just a 15 minutes PATH/subway ride from Hoboken into the city. Stevens has a great community of people who are willing to help everyone succeed.
Stevens is a great college to attend. I am happy that I have completed my first semester and had the chance to meet so many amazing people. The school has intelligent professors that are willing to help better yourself.
